DIY Focus calibration - AF microadjustment on Canon EOS 80D
In portrait photography medium or telephoto lens is a must. Another important thing is wide aperture ex. f/1.4 or f/1.8. Wide aperture has shallow depth of filed and sometimes lenses (especially third party manufactures like Sigma) need to be calibrated. Canon & Nikon DSLR have option to micro adjust lenses. Unfortunately not all Canon (or Nikon) DSLR-s have this option, only double and single digits like Canon 70D, Canon 80 have this option included. These Canon DSLRs are possible to adjust 1D Mk3 - 1D Mk4 - 1Ds Mk3 - 5D Mk2 - 7D - 50D - 70D - 1Dx - 1Dx Mk2 - 5D Mk3 - 5D Mk4 - 5Ds - 5Ds R - 6D - 7D MkII - 80D.
If You have one of mentioned DSLRs, then You are able to fine tune your lens. How to do it?
Check out this video I made, it is really simple and fast. I hope it will help.
